Skills outings
Skills Outings (Day Experiences)
At our one-day Skills Outings, youth and families learn hands-on outdoor skills like archery, rifle and shotgun handgun, glassing, fishing, and basic survival, always paired with a short devotion and in depth discussion in small circles. Every arrow drawn, trigger pulled, line cast, and fire built becomes a picture of biblical truth, self-control, focus, courage, and dependence on God.
• We gather in circles to discuss each activity, ask questions, and pray together, so no one is just a face in a crowd.
• Practical skills build confidence and resilience, while the devotion time helps participants connect what they’ve learned in the field to their walk with Jesus at home, school, and communities.
“At our Skills Outings, participants rotate through stations like archery, rifle, handgun, shotgun, and wilderness basics, then sit in small circles to unpack how these challenges point us to Christ—building skill, confidence, and faith all at once.

Weekend Family Camps
Weekend Family Camps (Short Getaways)
Our Weekend Family Camps are 2–4 day trips where parents, kids, and mentors share campfires, fishing trips, hikes, and (when in season) hunting, with intentional time set aside for group discussions, testimonies, and fellowship. These camps are where families learn to follow Jesus together in the everyday rhythms of tents, trails, and shared meals.
• Activities like fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping are framed with daily devotions, Scripture, and campfire devotions, where families sit together, reflect on the day, and respond to what God is doing in their hearts.
• Shared challenges in the outdoors help families grow in perseverance, communication, and trust, while mentors come alongside to encourage and mentor both youth and parents.
“Our Weekend Family Camps lead families into the wilderness for fishing, hunting, hiking, and survival skills, then draw them into circles, parents and kids' side by side, processing what God is teaching them and praying over one another.”

Youth Adventure Camps
Youth Adventure Camps (Extended Excursions)
Youth Adventure Camps are longer, 5–7 day adventures that combine all of our core activities, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, shooting sports, and outdoor recreation, with deeper, mentor-based discipleship. By living together in close community and facing real challenges outdoors, youth learn to rely on Christ, encourage each other, and practice spiritual leadership.
• Each day includes a set of physical challenges, Bible teaching, and small-group circles where students open Scripture, share honestly, and pray for one another.
• Staff and volunteers are trained to prioritize both safety and spiritual leadership, modeling Christlike character in every conversation, correction, and campfire story.
“In our Youth Adventure Camps, students spend a week in God’s creation, hunting, fishing, hiking, and learning outdoor skills, while mentors walk with them in small circles, helping them process life, Scripture, and what it means to follow Jesus back home.”

Discipleship In and Through the Outdoors
All of our programs are built to bridge faith and the outdoors, using real-life, hands-on experiences as the classroom for spiritual formation. We’re not just teaching outdoor skills; we are intentionally raising up a generation who know Christ, know who they are in Him, and know how to thrive in His creation.
• Circles, not rows: we sit eye-to-eye around fires, at camp tables, and under the stars, creating space for honest questions, confession, encouragement, and prayer.
• Character and resilience: the wilderness naturally introduces challenge, discomfort, and risk, and we use those moments to talk about perseverance, courage, responsibility, and trusting God when things are hard.
• Walking with Jesus: every outing includes a clear gospel focus, Scripture engagement, and invitations to take next steps with Christ, whether that’s salvation, recommitment, or deeper
Through day-long Skills Outings, Weekend Family Camps, and week-long Youth Adventure Camps, Into the Wild Outdoors gives youth and families hands-on experiences like archery, shooting sports, fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping, all intentionally centered on God’s Word. In every setting, we gather in circles around fires and picnic tables to open Scripture, share stories, and pray, turning outdoor challenges into opportunities to grow in character, resilience, and a daily walk with Jesus.”
